Details of UK rewards and loyalty card schemes. Staying loyal to a certain shop, service or credit card gives benefits such as cashback, free vouchers, money off, gifts or airmiles.

Nectar card Redeem: 500pts=£2.50 at Sainsburys. and Argos. Can also be redeemed at TGI, McDonalds, Odeon, Blockbuster ., DFDS, Euro Tunnel, BMI and Virgin Atlantic, amongst others.

Redeem: Vouchers mailed quarterly once balance exceeds 150pts. You can also convert your points to Airmiles.

American Express Varies What: Points on all card transactions - Two schemes: Membership Rewards Essentials and Classic, but is not available with American Express Blue Cards, American Express British Airways Cards, some American Express Corporate Cards, and some American Express Credit Cards. American Express Blue offers 1% cashback on purchases.

Earn: Get 1 point for every £1 charged to card (Classic), or 1 point for every £2 charged (Essentials). Cashback on Amex Blue

Redeem: Rewards start from 500 points, and include flights and hotels.

Staples Business Rewards Varies Staples - for all your business needs. Staples offer their Business Rewards Scheme in store (not online at staples.co.uk, sadly). Spend £100 a quarter, earn 2% back. 2% of spend goes towards your end-of-quarter rewards. You also get 20% back at Staples Copy & Print centres.

Sainsburys Reward Card N/a Replaced by Nectar on 16 November 2002

Barclaycard Rewards n/a Barclaycard Rewards closed on 28 February 2003, to be replaced by Nectar, although in August 2005, Barclaycard ceased their affiliation with Nectar.
BP Premierpoints n/a Scheme closed in 2002. Customers can now earn points on the Nectar Scheme.
Argos Premierpoints N/a Premierpoints stopped being issued from 29th July 2005, and could be redeemed up until 20th January 2006
